Mujeres celebran a Paco de Lucía
Festival Patrimonio Flamenco
Castillo Santa Catalina - Cádiz (08/04/2024)

  • Flamenco women fill the void, commemorating 10 years since the departure of maestro Paco de Lucía. This is a feminine perspective on his love for cante, his dedication—a celebration to make us laugh, a dance in his memory.

A feminine nod to his most endearing and delicate side, a look at his childhood, through the eyes of his mother Lucía, capturing the Andalusian essence in his manner, his being, the tenderness and delicacy with great firmness that never left his hand, represented by a bouquet of essential flamenco "Mujeres" of today and tomorrow.

Naike Ponce organizes and performs alongside other great flamenco women in a well-deserved tribute to the greatest of all time, Paco de Lucía. A celebration filled with joy and melancholy for his legacy, his essence, his love for music, and for Flamenco.

A life expressed through cante, dance, and the curves of the guitar, through a feminine sensibility that he often looked to and never ceased to give voice to, remember, and admire.
