![]() The jury of the 9th Flamenco Biennial of ONCE awarded a Special Mention in the Flamenco Guitar category to Alba Espert, highlighting "an excellent work that surprises in an almost exclusively male world and demonstrates a magnificent mastery of the guitar and accompaniment with cante". The Biennial, which will be held at the Teatro Isabel la Católica in Granada on November 14, 2024, will honor the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía and the Peña Flamenca "La Platería" of Granada. |

![]() The Ministry of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families, and Equality announced today, on International Youth Day, the Andalucía Joven awards granted by the Andalusian Youth Institute (IAJ) to collectives, entities, and individuals representing the 8 Andalusian provinces. These are honorary awards that recognize the work, dedication, personal involvement, and commitment to the development of the youth of Andalusia. |

![]() AIEnRUTa-Flamencos is a program organized by the Society of Performing Artists (AIE), the intellectual property management entity for artists, performers or executives, in collaboration with various universities (Complutense University of Madrid, University of Castilla-La Mancha, University of León, University of Alcalá de Henares, University of Valladolid, or the Lázaro Galdiano Foundation). This program, now in its 13th edition, is designed to showcase and promote young flamenco artists in the university setting. Its goals are to support artists in promoting their proposals and expanding the diffusion of flamenco by programming concerts or recitals in new venues in cities such as Madrid, León, Talavera de la Reina, Alcalá de Henares, Valladolid, Segovia, or Palencia. |

Alba Espert is a finalist in all three categories of the 1st International Flamenco Guitar Festival for Accompaniment to Singing "Xatafi Flamenco 2022" (Getafe).
This is a competition in three categories: Palos sin compás (rhythmic styles without meter); Palos con compás (rhythmic styles with meter); and the third category, which aims to rescue less commonly used flamenco styles, challenging participants to prepare pieces such as Caña or Polo, Zambra, and Mariana. |

![]() Last night at the 1st Flamenco Guitar Competition "Miguel Borrull" in Barcelona, I was able to win the Audience Special Award, consisting of a flamenco guitar built by Juan Montes, performing a Rondeña by Manolo Sanlúcar and a Soleá by Pedro Sierra. |
