La Peña Flamenca y Literaria, organiza una conferencia sobre Los Cantes de las Minas

  • The Speaker was Rafael Lora, President of the Peña Flamenca “Asociación Amigos de Paco Peña”, from Córdoba. He accompanied Cante "El Chiapas" and Alba Espert, on Guitar.

On the night of Saturday April 9, the Peña Flamenca Y Literaria Peñarriblense opened its headquarters to the public once again, to hold a Conference on Flamenco and more specifically on the Cantes de las Minas. Organized by the Peña Flamenca itself, with which the Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo City Council and the Cultural Association "Tertulia Flamenca Amigos de Paco Peña" have collaborated, based in the Cordovan capital, the spectators who attended were able to know everything for almost two hours. related to those Cantes de las Minas, as well as each of the Palos that compose it. And all this, thanks to the knowledge and life within Flamenco carried by the Speaker, Rafael Lora García, who is also the President of that Flamenco Cultural Association of Córdoba that we have mentioned above. In the words of Rafael Lora himself a few days before giving this Conference, it was a matter of demonstrating some of the well-founded and intentional versions that have been given about the Cantes de las Minas, “disproving some myths that have done more harm than favor to the origin. of these cantes… ”. Rafael used, in addition to the word, some slide exhibitions allusive to mining to propose this Conference, based on studies and several years of research, which later continued with various explanations of the investigated topics and of the Cantes that include those so-called “ Cantes de las Minas ”. Everything, accompanied by their respective photographs.

But Rafael Lora García did not come alone to this Conference, since he was accompanied by two pieces of flamenco artists on whom he relied to illustrate those Cantes de las Minas. On the one hand, with the Cantes de Francisco Pulido "El Chiapas", which of course did not disappoint at any time. And for the musical accompaniment to the Guitar of Alba Espert, a young promise of the Flamenco Guitar this beautiful and young Jerez woman who points out very good manners and that some already predict that in 5 or 6 years, we can be talking about one of the best Flamenco guitars that can be heard. All these participants were introduced by Inés Mansilla Pérez.

Good public attendance at this Conference on Cantes de las Minas, despite the fact that that same day there were several more events in Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo. And so they describe it from the Board of Directors of this Peña Flamenca Y Literaria Peñarriblense, who congratulate all the participants and thank the public for the trust they have placed in the Peña in recent months: “After the celebration of this Cantes de las Minas Conference, The Peña Flamenca Y Literaria Peñarriblense, in our desire and with our work to disseminate Flamenco, wants to thank all the attendees. To His Excellency the City Council, to our friend Rafael Lora, Lecturer, to the Cante de Paco “El Chiapas” honoring these mining cantes from Tarantas, Mineras, Tarantos, Cartagenera, Murciana, etc. And of course, to the young promise of Alba Espert Guitar, a Jerezana with its clean and well executed touch, to whom we wish good luck in this world and of course our Peña is counting on you, our presenter Inés Mansilla and the public who attended to this Conference. To all of them, thank you for your work and for your trust… ”.

Also the participants in the Conference left Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo very happy with the organization, because of everything they had experienced in this event. On the one hand, Alba Espert responded to the praise of the Peña Flamenca, saying this: “Thank you very much to all of you, for the good reception you gave both my colleagues and me. I hope you like it and we can see each other again soon… ”. For his part, Francisco Pulido, "El Chiapas", spoke like this: "Thank you very much for your kindness, in my name and that of my colleagues and for your welcome, with a wonderful and respectful audience with a long experience of the peñista. Thank you very much from the heart, a big flamenco hug… ”.

And the turn of congratulations and thanks was closed by the Speaker, Rafael Lora, to say the following: “With the permission of my colleagues, Francisco Pulido" El Chiapas "and Alba Espert, I join and ratify your comments, because in my long life in I have seen and lived many experiences this difficult world of Flamenco, but this one from the Peña Flamenca y Literaria Peñarriblense is unique. Good friends and connoisseurs, who not only knew how to exercise one of the disciplines of Flamenco Art, such as knowing how to listen, but also gave us their friendship and their flamenco hearts. Their kindness is such that I will always be indebted to them and I reiterate my words from that night, when I told them that I will always wear with pride and affection this badge that you undeservedly assigned me. Thank you and know that I will always be at your disposal. A flamenco hug… ”.

Also from Guadiato Información, we add ourselves to those congratulations and from here we encourage the Peña Flamenca Y Literaria Peñarriblense not to decline in the path that they have undertaken, of flamenco art and wisdom, that despite the much work and effort that we know they have to carry out To obtain good results, the attendance of the public to the events they have carried out in recent months shows that they are doing very well. They are already preparing another event, of great significance for sure on fans and less fans of Flamenco, which we will report in due course.
