IX Zalamea La Real Flamenco Festival (07/16/2021)


  • Zalamea la Real celebrates its IX Flamenco Festival on Friday 16 after two years of parenthesis.

    After a two-year hiatus, on Friday, July 16, at Paseo Redondo, and starting at 10:00 p.m., the IX Zalamea Flamenco Festival will be held. On this occasion you will be able to enjoy Rubito Jr., Anabel Valencia and Antonio Fernández on cante; Antonio Carrión, Curro Vargas and David Soto on touch; and as concert guitar there will be the presence of Alba Espert.

    The event will be presented by Manuel Martín Martín, National Flamencology Award.

    In previous editions, the Flamenco Festival of the mining town has featured artists of the stature of El Cabrero, Marina Heredia, Juan Pinilla, Manuel Gerena and José Menese, also performing in its galas artists from the land such as the flamboyant Víctor Sotero or the painting dance of the Peña Flamenca Femenina de Huelva.

    In its first two editions, the town's Plaza de Toros was the scene of the festival, moving to Paseo Redondo in 2014, a success according to the attendees.
